Acerca de mí

Dr. Jenny Kan joined Valley Children's Specialty Medical Group as an anesthesiologist in October 2023.

Dr. Kan earned her medical degree from Oregon Health and Science University before going on to complete a residency in anesthesiology through Kaweah Health Medical Center in Visalia and then a pediatric anesthesiology fellowship through Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Kan worked as a staff anesthesiologist at Kaweah Health Medical Center and as a certified medical interpreter for Pacific Interpreters. She also held several research positions and teacher roles that nurtured her expertise with more than 30 anesthesia topics formally presented.

With expansive research experience, Dr. Kan has worked on quality improvement projects that focus on safe reversal dosing for infants and neonates as well as enhanced recovery after surgery protocols. Dr. Kan has demonstrated an interest in patient and family centered care in pediatric sedation through her work aimed to improve clinical outcomes, promote communication, and increase safety and satisfaction for patients and providers. She has shared her expertise in various conference poster presentations, abstracts and peer-reviewed publications including the International Journal of Cancer.

Dr. Kan is a member of the Society for Pediatric Anesthesia, American Society of Anesthesiologists and the California Society of Anesthesiologists, where she was a resident representative. Her volunteer work has focused on a wide range of community wellness and education topics that have supported organizations such as the Oregon Food Bank, Interprofessional Community and Education Exchange at Transition Projects and Doernbecher Children's Hospital.

Dr. Kan is a certified medical interpreter in Cantonese and Mandarin.
